Rattlesnake!

I've already headed north to my next destination, but haven't got to do much exploring yet, so figured Id share a few more pics of Caballo State Park.

 Hiking Trails
For you adventurous sorts with high clearance vehicles there is some excellent camping. Quiet, trees, and right on the beach at there very north end of the park. I actually didn't find it until my last couple of  days.
 Blooming Cacti
 Bright blue bug?
Been seeing this awkward trail much more on my daily hikes. Figured I would stumble across its creator sooner, or later.

Then there he, or she was. Not sure which? But wasn't gonna investigate any further, so I tipped my hat, and we parted ways. Good Day!

  1. I am assuming that photo was taken with a zoom lens! If not, you have more courage than I.

    2. I've seen only two. One outside Sedona where I got great photos (yes, tequila was involved, I admit sheepishly), and one outside Datil on the homestead. That one was probably a Mohave green.

      Keeping my eyes open here.

Does look like a really nice place even with him or her.

  7. I Like seeing the snake going the other way! I hear they don't like being bothered by us either. He/she does look quite healthy, though, I agree. Careful out there but do love the pictures.

  8. It looks so nice and peaceful, until I got to the snake picture. (I hate those darn things!!!) Be careful, I'm sure the rest of it's family isn't to far away!

  9. Good photos - I found that little sandy camping place this morning. Very pretty there right by the water. I've taken some blooming cactus photos, but can't find them, they are beautiful when they're blooming. I sure hope I don't see that snake! :)
