Its super secure I realize nothing is impenetrable. Definitely take a pretty ambitious thief to break in.
Able to insulate it extremely well. Keep it a comfortable temp year round.
No quick moving grass fire will harm it. About the only kind of fires we get around here.
Add some stairs and you have a instant roof top patio!
Gonna be alot more work to install windows and such, but at the end of the day will be well worth it.
Heres a few more pics.....
Took about 125 ft to unload
Got the 9'6" High cube. Good thing I did because the inside dimensions are much smaller.
Ginger peeking out of her future home.

ReplyDeleteWas 3400 delivered
DeleteOH WOW, You will have so much room even if it is narrow. How you gonna act with all that room LOL. Can't wait to see all that you do with it. I bet cutting out the windows will be tough but you can do it.
ReplyDeleteIts huge compared to my home home for the last 6 years!
DeleteSo cool. Congrats! Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim!
DeleteNow that looks like a fun project :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe irritating at time, but ill get through

DeleteWay cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about the cost to deliver it.
Will be watching with much interest what you do with it.

This one cost 800 to deliver. 2600 for the container. One was 1800 for the container and 1800 delivery, and yet another was 3800 for all. Depending on where your at its gonna very I just went with the cheapest. Hope that helps

DeleteGood Choice Ryan, that's the way I`m going.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dan! Where you planning on getting land?
DeleteNot real sure yet Ryan, most likely up near where you are, or maybe near Clifton or Duncan. It will be a couple of years for me.
DeleteThanks Wheely
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Great choice for the new home. Very durable. No worry about cost of new roofing. Great idea on the patio up on top. Maybe outside spiral stair case made of wrought iron?
ReplyDeletePossibly. Thanks CW
DeleteThey had a special on HGTV about container homes. Your possibilities are endless. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIll have to see if I cant find it. Thanks
DeleteOh, that's so cool! A container home has been on my list of possibilities for post-RV life. Very interested to see how you transform it. I'm sure it will be fantastic, and just what you need.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Jeanne
Thanks Jeanne
DeleteYou were talking about this a long time ago - I thought you had shelved the idea. I'm so glad you decided to get a container, it sounds like it will solve many possible future issues that a sticks and bricks structure would present. Especially if you left it for long periods of time. This will be super secure. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Congrats on your new home! :)
ReplyDeleteAlways been in the back of my mind almost did it last year. Thanks
DeleteThe cool part is once it is dropped on you land, you have an instant home. Improvements can be made to your liking. Looking forward to the build.
ReplyDeleteThanks Squire
DeleteThis will keep you out of trouble, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to following it's transformation
