Still hanging out on the Mesa.Temps been hanging out in the upper 70's, so I'll probably be staying put for awhile yet. Done pulling all those pesky weeds. Took a bunch of pictures, but wasn't doing the property any justice. Decide to do a video of a walk around instead. Here's what a few thousand smackers will get you in northern AZ.
Very, very nice! You did a good job with the "driveway" rocks. It's a lot more than just a driveway, though. Nice area. And I'm impressed at how steady you are walking around making a video. Did you have that thing on a dolly with tracks? LOL Thanks for showing us your mountain retreat.
Lol The original video isn't even close to that steady. Thanks to a youtube enhancement feature it turned out super steady. Enjoy NM of your up this way give me shout
2.38 acres and paid $4000 my neighbor just down the street paid the same for 4.76acres but had to put the road in. Which the cost was pretty significant. If you go further North and East prices drop a lot so does elevation, and it's a quite the journey to town. Hope that helps.
Your correct in saying that Northern AZ land is reasonably priced! I bought 2.5 acres just east of Holbrook for under $1,500. Gonna work at making it totally off grid with a shipping container cabin...
Was just going to ask about the acreage so thanks for asking and answering that. I remember when you bought it but didn't remember the size.
Could you dig a well here if you wanted to? And there must be an address for the property. Was wondering if you had mail addressed here... would it get delivered? Or is it just too remote?
There are wells in the area. Not sure how deep they are or what the cost I never planned on it so never looked into it. Ill just do a water catchment when the day comes, or theres water delivery as well.
There is no mail however if you provide a permit for septic or building you can get a box up on the main highway Im pretty much paperless so if I were to be here full time I would get a Private Mailbox in town so you get only the mail you want. Not all the other Garbage.
Fed ex and UPS both do deliver here I put a bucket out at the road with the lot number, and once they found it the first time theres been no issues.
-3C here in SE BC Canada last night (about 27F for you 'Mericans). Water line to the RV froze up for an hour or two, then the sun came out and it was shorts and tshirt weather all day.
