Camp
Then the interrogation begin. How long yah been here? Where yah going? Where yah coming from? I answered all honestly. "He declared you know its illegal to even drive into a national forest if your living in the vehicle.(Fourth time Fourth forest Ive gotten the speech in)"I said Well I don't live in the forest I live at my residence up near Show Low, and travel often" Then was called a liar, and was told I would just be receiving a warning today. Welcome to your National Forest! Nice to see my tax dollars harassing me. I've moved on, but did enjoy the rest of my 14 days without any hassle. Heres a few more pics of camp.....
Right up the road from camp.
Interesting history, but not very well preserved. Thanks for visiting! Good day!
Wow, that's pretty scarey and very unpleasant. Come on down to the Quartzsite area BLMs. You're more than welcome here - Riff. I assume the dog is named Raff? And the Ranger, named Arse? :(
ReplyDeleteHe was a Arse! Ill bring the blue moons! Off to Tucson soon for the holidays. The HOA's are the only ones who kick me outta there :)
DeleteSounds like you handled it well. Crap like that is one of the many reasons I'm hesitant to take the leap and hit the road. Things like that would put me in a constant state of anxiousness, and that's not what I want.
ReplyDeleteAndy dont let one egomaniac Ranger make you hesitant. The good far out weigh the bads. I am approaching 1800 days out here. Been informed 4 times about it, and this was the first time one was true ASS! His plan was to run me off, and make the town folk happy with his great achievement of scaring the Riff Raff out of the woods. Legally I had 14 days so I used them. Now get out there!
DeleteYou handled it really well. I probably would've burst into tears. Good on you for not letting stuff like this affect you or your attitude.
ReplyDeleteTook a bit to hold my tongue, but that never gets yah anywhere.
DeleteI have never run into one as ugly as that. I have always been meet with a smile and a maybe you shouldn't be here. Andy shouldn't let much bother him like you said most are really nice guys and just doing a check to make sure your doing things right. Maybe somebody pissed in his Cheerio's
ReplyDeleteLOL Wish someone would
DeleteGood for you. I don't want look like a fool here but there is a big push to clear out the hills becausde of the presumed "Bad Winter" comming our way, dont know this as a truth but new political face always brings out the worst in government people and it sounds like change or fear there of is taking hold. Keep your grin on and be happy. Better travels to you and your friend RAFF Ha Ha *big belly laugh)
ReplyDeleteGinger and I may need a name change
DeleteHi, I'm in agreement with the rest here. You handled yourself very well. Let the ego maniacs have there day. Always some little person that has a little control over your life that wants to show you he's in charge. Let them think they're in charge. My motto is never let the B!@#$%S
ReplyDeletesee you sweat. You did real well....HoboJoe
lol Thanks Hobo
DeleteWell, I've been called worse things, for sure.
ReplyDeleteYou handled the poor ego driven ranger well. He probably didn't get an ounce of satisfaction out of that interaction.
Hey Cyndi. Still traveling in the car?
DeleteI may have found the van, Ryan! I'll take in on Thursday to see if it passes muster.
DeleteI'm kind of grounded right now.The family's needs are more important than my fun (my decision.) The big question is will I make it all the way through a New England winter? You may see me out west. I'm already hating it. 28 degrees at 2pm.ACK!!!!
Did you get any sort of ID on the guy? This needs to be reported to his seniors. I work a lot with the Rangers in the national parks. Trust me, they do not want their people treating you like this.
ReplyDeleteNo I didnt. Normally I would guess I was just glad to see him leave. I know of another Ranger in the state who eventually got relocated because of so many complaints. A few people where I am now have been run out of the same area.
DeleteSo Rif Raf I know your around Green Valley somewhere by now.
