Figured I would blog a short celebratory post for myself :) Dec 18th 2009 makes it 3 years ago today since I walked away from the rat race, and pursued a nomadic off the grid lifestyle. Looking back all I can say is its a great freedom, being able to call each day your own. If you dreaming of such a lifestyle, be brave enough to follow your dreams now, cause sometime in the future you will wish you did! Have a great day!

Hi Ryan,
ReplyDeleteFound you through the Mobile Kodger and am enjoying your blog. We want to spend some time in the White Mountains during the winter in the future and those free campsites look pretty appealing. Guess I'd better start doing my research! Give Sandy a scratch behind the ears for me!

Hello Grace! Thanks for the kind words. I hope you mean in the summer cause you would not be enjoying a winter there LOL. If you have any questions on the area Id be glad to help. Candy appreciates it:)

ReplyDeleteThanks Dan! I already had a Vacation to Az planned for the holidays, so by leaving in December, and being on Vacation through the new year I accumulated a xtra 4 weeks vacation which would help me on my way. First 4 months I rented some land with water and electric for $100 a month, then headed to the mountains first time I boondocked was up on the Mogollon rim, which I returned to this year. http://www.newagenomad.com/2012/10/the-new-neighbors.html
DeleteVery cool Ryan, I have lived in Phx. for the last 42 years. I have been to the rim area and the white mountains many times. Come this spring I will follow in your foot steps and spend most of my summers in that area. Hope to see you on the road someday.
