The Forest Hermit

The title pretty much sums up my life so far this summer. Found a great spot 9400ft, good internet, weathers been in the upper 60's, and almost no hassles from anyone. So figured why not stay a couple weeks, which turned into more like 7!

Daily hikes have been about the most exciting part of my stay, and even those have been pretty uneventful for me at least. Ginger stirs up tons of critters. Sure beats a early morning commute! Heres a few more pics.........

Stay got cut a few days short. When a family decided to have there reunion right in my camp. Ended up being about 10 motorhomes, tents etc...so decided to move on. Family was enroute so figured id find a spot with some facilities.

Thanks for visiting! Good Day!

  1. That's so typical. You find a perfect spot in the middle of nowhere and a family moves in to have a reunion right THERE. Geez. I'm glad you had a long time there before they moved in - it looks like a beautiful spot. :)

  3. Was wondering if you might ever post again. At least you had 7 weeks fo peace before the crowd showed up.

I really hated coming back to Tucson. I wish all this medical junk would get fixed so I can take off again. It's hot here 109

  4. a good cell phone jammer might help. also a few orange spinners placed here and there. you don't need to shot. the spinners are great. buy used ones. trade new ones for used. set them out about 200 yds. they are not illegal in non shooting areas. fuqem.

    1. Suppose you could do that, but prolly get some pretty pissed off folks maybe even get Ranger involved something Id rather avoid. One of the joys off having a home on wheels, dont like the new neighbors just turn the key.

  5. You might get lucky and find a better spot. You could always go back when they leave also.😀

  6. I've been checking in looking for a new post and getting a little worried! Usually on the stoopid phone so I can't comment. Thanks for the update.
Love those opportunities to stay a little longer!
